Divine tales and sacred legends

Father of Karna

Surya blessed Kunti with her first son, Karna, who was born with divine armor and earrings. Despite being abandoned at birth, Karna grew to become one of the greatest warriors, embodying Surya's radiant qualities of courage and generosity.

Curse of Leprosy Healed

King Samba, son of Krishna, was cursed with leprosy. Upon worshipping Surya with devotion and bathing in the sacred waters at the confluence of Chandrabhaga river, he was completely healed, establishing Surya's healing powers.

The Celestial Charioteer

Every day, Surya rides across the sky in his golden chariot driven by seven horses, representing the seven colors of light and the seven days of the week. His journey brings light, warmth, and life to all beings on earth.
